Meet the U.S. Banker who has volunteered 160 hours this year

September 03, 2019

For Brittny Ferguson, providing financial coaching is much for than a 9-to-5.

Already this year, the branch manager has spent more than 160 hours volunteering in San Diego with organizations such as Junior Achievement, Second Chance and the Nick Cannon Foundation.

Why motivates Ferguson to give back?

“Giving our knowledge costs nothing,” she said, continuing, “but it creates a lasting impact on the lives of others.”

As part of its Community Possible social responsibility platform, U.S. Bank provides employees with 16 hours of paid time off per year to spend volunteering in the community. Last year, employees took advantage of the policy on their way toward volunteering 209,000 hours – which comes out to an average of 550 hours on any given day.
